Hi, None of the files/directories you mention exist in Hardy, as far as I can tell. Are you sure your suggestion is relevant for Hardy?
I also don't think it has anything to do with ext3 vs vfat. The problem appears to be further up the chain. I have a hardy laptop at home that mounts my vfat usb drive perfectly fine, but my hardy work computer does not, as explained above. Bug #302679 was marked invalid today because the original poster did not supply some info, however I think I have supplied something very similar above. I will attach the requested output from #302679 here anyway. ** Attachment added: "output of lshal when usb drive is inserted then removed" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/23394198/lshal.out -- USB automount lost on hardy upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267151 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
