i should add that i get no other error logs on my system while compiz is enabled. if there is anything i could do to provide a better bug report, please let me know, i'm eager to squash this bug!
on a sidenote: as you can see in dmesg.txt, i get this IOMMU warning [ 0.004000] Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup [ 0.492232] PCI-DMA: using GART IOMMU.
