Same here, ubuntu 8.1, nvidia-glx-180, and compiz... Changing panel transparency levels clears the artifices, hm... But in only happens with Skype.... ah, damn proprietary soft - skype and nvidia ))) Well I'll wait to see if their new soon promised realises for Linux will have this issue. ))
