Public bug reported: Since I updated to KDE 4.2 (from 4.1) through intrepid-updates, the HTTP authentication dialog in Konqueror won't let me select the username field. As a consequence it is impossible to authenticate any website using plain HTTP authentication (although it still works for FORM-based authentication).
It seems the username field is not selectable. When I click on it or use Tab, the cursor does not show up. Typing on the keyboard has no effect. The only work around I found is to add the username in the URL (http://usern...@host/...) manually. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- With KDE 4.2, HTTP authentication dialog username cannot be changed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335325 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
