I always include bug numbers in the commit log when fixing a reported
bug, so you just need to search for that. In this case, RH bugzilla bug
#486587 is the one to search for:
$ git log --grep=486587
commit 051bc7f077ebc6a64bc984f4e5ce355a3e4ed4b5
Author: Tim Waugh <twa...@redhat.com>
Date: Fri Feb 20 15:34:29 2009 +0000
Fixed bug introduced in commit e5243a7 (bug #486587).
