Public bug reported:
1. select a text in application, with keyboard (in example in kate program, or
whatever)
2. ctrl+C copy it
3. close application
4. paste the text...
5. nothing pasted! whoops. fail.
Perhaps in 2009 linux (gnome) should get all this modern fancy features
like a working clipboard (by default, in gnome), in addition to basic
stuff like 3d rotating desktops and blurring windows GFX.
