Public bug reported:

I use 8.04, was using Epiphany (Gecko) this morning and it was working
satisfactorily including the plugin for Adobe Flash. I got an indication that
new software was available, clicked on the icon and found that a new version of
Adobe Flash plugin was available for download and installation. I went ahead
and allowed Update manager to complete the installation. Epiphany immediately
disappeared and now won't load.
According to Synaptic package Mgr the version of Adobe Flash plugin currently
installed is 10.0.22.87-2.
I've tried reloading both Epiphany and the new plugin but it hasn't fixed the
problem
In view of the sequence of events I assume there is a good chance there is a
bug here.

Regards

Ted Pritchard
