a working d-i image should be downloadable now under: http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/dists/jaunty/main/installer-armel/20081029ubuntu21/images/ixp4xx/netboot/ please note that there is an issue with the language pack that tries to generate all locales (which takes about 50min per locale so extends teh instal time to several hours) a fix was committed to localechooser but wont make the alpha5 release.
