Hello, I've encountered this same problem. Here's the error message I get:

Please report this bug against the 'update- manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport. subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 ------------ I'll attach dist-upgrade as directed above.
