Well, I can't replicate it using the raw e2fsprogs tool directly, and yongjunj reported it was fixed in a later version of gparted. If you can reproduce it using just e2fsck and resize2fs, without using gparted, please contact me and reopen this bug. I can't reproduce it using just e2fsck and resize2fs. I'm not sure what gparted is doing, but it appears to be something really broken.
