Edited grub menu.lst as suggested by Alan Jenkins (see attatched), machine would not boot, through up errors. Booted in recovery mode and resumed normal boot. Machine suspended and resumed perfectly, edited menu.lst and took out the mem_chk option, rebooted normally and Jaunty suspends/resumes perfectly. I have not reseated any component inside my PC or applied any updates. Who knows? Doug
