Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, there is an undocumented feature that enables you to do what you want: just press SHIFT when you're doing your selectio. There's a comment about this in the source code:
/* Hold the shift key down to disable the auto-edge snap feature */ This should be mentioned in the documentation. I filed a bug in the gimp's bug tracker about this. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #572673 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=572673 ** Also affects: predrag via http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=572673 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: gimp (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- Selection Scissors will not allow me to go any closer to the top than 15 pixels of any size canvas (GIMP 2.4.6) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/320781 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
