Kross: you should probably write up a blueprint for that and propose it for the next release. I'm using Kubuntu right now, so I can't verify, but as I recall, Ubuntu Intrepid has something for Grub editing already. I'm not sure exactly what it is, though. It might actually be startupmanager. If not, I doubt the devs will want to replace it with startupmanager, but I suppose it's worth a try.
