I don't think this bug is equivalent to bug #41651.
In this bug, files that are open get into the "Open Recent" but just for
that session. Once Kate is closed and re-opened, they aren't there
anymore.
In bug #41651 a newly created file that is saved doesn't get in the
"Open Recent" list even during the execution session in which it was
created and saved.
But if it's common to mark as duplicate bugs that are similar or
somewhat related, ok. Thank you.
