Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
This bug mostly affects laptop users who may use different screen configurations (eg. projectors or additional screens...). Currently we must re-configure the additional display each time we connect/disconnect it. There are two approaches to this problem: 1)Detect the new screen and change the resolution automatically without any user intervention. After ste screen is disconnected we must get back the old setup 2)The gnome-display-properties applet should support saving multiple screen resolution profiles, that may be chosen from the applet's notification area menu. Still, we should detect display removal and revert to the basic setup because the systray may end up in the area of the disconnected screen and we may not see it to revert the changes. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- screen resolution ehnancements for user-friendliness https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332219 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
