This is probably due to you installing to point 
a) Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu.

I wouldn't recommend doing it, as you need to uninstall ubuntu-desktop
to update.. but then when you try reinstalling you'll fail.  The main
reason for this is that fast-user-switcher applet is not yet in a state
to upgrade.

This is due to the current version in the repositories (constantly being
updated and changed, as is the state with pre-release software).

I'd recommend that you run `apt-get update` again to pull the latest
changes - it may now let you upgrade.

However, remember, this is _unstable_ software, so use it with this in
find.
