Update - I've been told that the FOSS -radeon driver will be gaining
EXA/Xv support for 6xx/7xx cards in the upcoming 6.12.0 release, which
sounds like it will hit in time for us to consider pulling in for
Jaunty.  If that comes through and is sufficiently stable, it may
mitigate the need for -fglrx.

The 6.12.0 driver won't have full 3D functionality, so no compiz
unfortunately.  But for all basic 2D usage it hopefully should be up to
the task.

Of course, -radeonhd also continues to be available as an alternative
and should support 6xx/7xx as well.
