Update - I've been told that the FOSS -radeon driver will be gaining EXA/Xv support for 6xx/7xx cards in the upcoming 6.12.0 release, which sounds like it will hit in time for us to consider pulling in for Jaunty. If that comes through and is sufficiently stable, it may mitigate the need for -fglrx.
The 6.12.0 driver won't have full 3D functionality, so no compiz unfortunately. But for all basic 2D usage it hopefully should be up to the task. Of course, -radeonhd also continues to be available as an alternative and should support 6xx/7xx as well. -- MASTER: fglrx does not support xserver 1.6 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313027 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
