Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-vm-builder
I am trying to create a KVM virtual machine using ubuntu-vm-builder on Intrepid amd64. Commandline: sudo ubuntu-vm-builder kvm intrepid --arch 'amd64' --mem '128' --rootsize '1890' --swapsize '256' --kernel-flavour 'generic' --hostname 'kvm-master' --mirror 'http://REMOVED:9999/ubuntu' --components 'main, restricted, universe' --addpkg 'vim openssh-server' --name 'REMOVED' --user 'REMOVED' --pass 'REMOVED' --libvirt qemu:///system --raw=/dev/sde /dev/sde is a iSCSI connected disk. It appears that security.ubuntu.com is added to the created vm's /etc/apt/sources.list. When the installer does an apt-get update this fails (because the parent cannot directly access the internet, hence the local mirror). When the installer fails to get security.ubuntu.com the installer fails badly and I am left with an unusable vm. Is there the possibility to: a) Tell ubuntu-vm-builder NOT to add the security.ubuntu.com lines and just add the mirror lines b) Tell ubuntu-vm-builder to use a specific sources.list that I supply c) Tell ubuntu-vm-builder to use a HTTP Proxy (which will allow the parent to access security.ubuntu.com) Kind regards Jared ** Affects: ubuntu-vm-builder (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Inability to contact security.ubuntu.com breaks ubuntu-vm-builder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/331329 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
