I'm reopening this against the actively developed "linux (Ubuntu)" task. Could you please test with the latest pre-release of Jaunty (currently Alpha4) - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . You should be able to test using a LiveCD. Please let us know your results.
