Thank you for reporting this, but this isn't a bug. The installation of sun-java6-doc is only successful if you have downloaded the documentation from Sun's website and placed it as root in /tmp. If the documentation isn't available it cannot be installed and through this it is valid that the package installation fails since it has not installed what it should.
Just go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/, download the documentation for the JDK 6, place it in /tmp, change its owner to root and run dpkg-reconfigure sun-java6-doc. ** Changed in: sun-java6 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- package sun-java6-doc 6-10-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/330721 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
