Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hal
Using Jaunty with all of today's updates through ~1430ET (USA), the NetworkManager applet doesn't seem to provide a way to disassociate from a wireless connection other than disabling the radio. Left- or right- clicking the existing connection (an infrastructure network in this case) causes a disassociation and reassociation rather than just disassociating or providing link info or something more... useful. Following the design of the existing VPN sub-menu (when a VPN connection is active) might be helpful. (And the laptop (Lenovo T500) can't see the radio at all (not just in NM) unless booted with the rfkill switch off and /left/ that way after booted. But I'm seeing reports for a couple other laptops indicating this may be an upstream HAL bug.) ** Affects: hal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Jaunty] NetworkManager applet can't disassociate from a wireless connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/330718 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
