Yes, I understand all that.... but this is a month shy of a year later for something as basic as wireless.
And something else.... Setting up sound for a rosegarden like application in Vista is difficult In Ubuntu it is a nightmare.... I've spent hours and hours trying to get it to work - and when I resort to installing Ubuntu studio - it does not support wireless and the interface... to me.... sucks. You know - I'm all for promotion of Linux - but its hard to be out there promoting Linux when basic stuff like wireless and sound is difficult as hell (I got rosegarden to actually make a sound once.. and never again) Perhaps this is a bridge too far for you guys? The standard desktop functions nicely but perhaps one should concentrate on the basics instead of Compiz....
