Hi, I tried again. Sorry for the confusion, the test I described before is when loading Ubuntu without installing on the harddisk. When trying to install on the harddisk, the problem is similar. After the completion bar is over, the remains blank with the cursor(undescore) at the upper left.
I attach the xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log generated. I also got into one of the other consoles (which are autologged with the user ubuntu) and I could fix the xorg.conf to use 1280x800. I could not make it work for 2560x1600. With this fixed conf I could load startx and get into a desktop with the install harddrive icon.
