FWIW, as one of FoFiX's developer and Debian maintainer, i've been planning to package FoFiX for Debian/Ubuntu as soon as we tackle the performance issues with Python2.5+PyOpenGL3.x.
There's been recent progress (last weekend) on the font rendering issues, hopefully we (FoFiX devs) will be able to move on soon.
