I am having similar problems and can confirm this bug. I leave my computer on days on end. After a restart there is a split second delay after each button press on the remote where mythtv completely freezes. After a few days it turns into a full second to 2 second delay where mythtv freezes.
It only happens when I press buttons on the remote. Even if the buttons dont do anything.
