** Description changed: Binary package hint: network-manager - In the Intrepid RC, whenever the NetworkManager daemon is running, I am + In Intrepid, whenever the NetworkManager daemon is running, I am completely incapable of connecting to a wireless network, through NetworkManager or through manual configuration (iwconfig; dhclient). I can see the networks fine with iwlist scan, but dhcp always fails. If I stop NetworkManager (/etc/init.d/NetworkManager stop), then I can manually configure fine. I experienced the same behaviour on Gutsy, but it disappeared upon upgrading to Hardy.
