ok now its just getting weird. I booted up today without making any changes and the Bluetooth icon appeared in the system tray for the first time. I was even able to register my mouse and use it. However on shutdown I got a kdebluetooth4 crash window and since then after rebooting no icon and back to the dreaded dbus !=NULL message on manual starts again.
Time to give up on this one I think.
