Public bug reported: To get this error:- Use Sony Vaio PCG-R600HMPD running kubuntu edgy. Latest update 17-12-06. Workarounds:- 1/ In the system settings network devices select "Routes" the default gateway address should be as you set it. but the Device defaults to eth0. If you are using the wireless device, it should be eth1. When you set this (for this session) the internet is avalable.
The device default for the default gateway get reset to eth0 the next time the system is re-booted and so every time the system is rebooted, the internet is unavailable. This bug was introduced by edgy - it was not an issue with DaPPER. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- cannot see internet vaio wireless https://launchpad.net/bugs/76111 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
