Ok - So I got a copy of Jaunty Alpha 4 - ran ok, installed ok and is currently my usable system. The only error I see now comes up just after startup:
[ 1.010412] ACPI Warning (nspredef-0858): \_TZ_.THRM._PSL: Return Package type mismatch at index 0 - found [NULL Object Descriptor], expected Reference [20080926] [ 1.010418] ACPI: Expecting a [Reference] package element, found type 0 This always comes up just before the splash screen during boot. So far doesn't seem to cause any noticeable problems. I have some odd sound issues, but that may be some settings in BIOS? not sure just yet. Running stock sound which is C-Media Superior Quality 7.1 onboard sound. Anybody out there?
