After switching to 9.04 (pulseaudio 0.9.14-0ubuntu4) I am no longer able to reproduce the bug - thanks! Pulseaudio still crashes occasionally, but no longer from this reason. I'll fill a separate bug for the crashes when they'll occur. Thanks again!
