Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet
Found in Fast User Switch Applet 2.24.0/Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha. If gedit is open, the Fast User Switch Applet will not allow me to do a quick restart - it shows a dialog that says that "Text Editor" is blocking log out. This happens even when I have no unsaved changes in gedit. How to reproduce: 1) Make sure you have gedit open, with no unsaved changes. 2) Click on the Fast User Switch Applet icon. 3) Choose Restart from the pull-down menu. Expected behavior: The system should initiate a restart. Actual behavior: A caption-less dialog appears, having the text "A program is still running" and showing the gedit icon. 100 % reproducible. If I choose Restart from the dialog that comes up when I choose Shutdown from the System menu, I don't get the same blocking behavior. Therefore I'm reporting this problem on the fast-user-switch-applet package, although there might just as well be something in gedit that's causing it. ** Affects: fast-user-switch-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- fast-user-switch-applet complains about gedit preventing restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327814 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
