Public bug reported: I've got audio working on my T500-- thankfully, I read one of the bug reports from someone whose audio was muted via hotkeys. However, the mute hotkey's behaviour is inconsistent. Pressing the mute button shuts off audio, but this isn't reflected in the GNOME volume control. The original mute status wasn't shown on the volume control, either. Volume control changes (up/down) are reflected in the OSD and in alsamixer, but muting via the mute button is never shown.
I realise that this may be a Crazy Proprietary Laptop Thing, but if at all possible, it would be great if Ubuntu could report muting via the dedicated button, preferably in the OSD and in at least the more popular volume control utilities. If nothing else, it should save some user confusion and unnecessary bug reports. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Inconsistent audio hotkey behaviour on Lenovo ThinkPad T500 [Jaunty] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327772 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
