kicking this into gear would indeed be nice... Maybe I misunderstand the principles of ubuntus QA, and what upgrades of a stable release distro mean, but imho it's at best not very userfriendly if such a bug is not dealt with at all. At least it's just a poor QA. What's the point of reporting the bug here at all? Should we report it upstream instead?
