If it worked in Hardy but no longer works now; by what reasoning should
it be marked as "Wishlist"?

It should be marked as a regression (unless there is a good reason why
it was changed to no longer work).

What are you talking about?   How many Windows applications have users
to create their own icons in the start menu after installation?!?

The app already ships an icon file associated with 2 menu entries that
people are unlikely to have, I'm just asking (with a patch provided to
do it even) that it be added to the one it used to be on "System
Tools"....     As it is now you can apt-get the VBoxGtk front-end and
that shows up in "System Tools"...   why shouldn't the official vbox gui
show up there by default as well?

I would be appreciative if someone would just apply the patch and mark
this fixed committed already.
