>> This, however, should be marked as "Wishlist" importance as it is not necessarily a bug, but a request for something that would make the program better.
If it worked in Hardy but no longer works now; by what reasoning should it be marked as "Wishlist"? It should be marked as a regression (unless there is a good reason why it was changed to no longer work). >> You can always use "alt-f2" to run these programs. Most people prefer to add applications to the menu by themselves so they can have their own menu layout. What are you talking about? How many Windows applications have users to create their own icons in the start menu after installation?!? The app already ships an icon file associated with 2 menu entries that people are unlikely to have, I'm just asking (with a patch provided to do it even) that it be added to the one it used to be on "System Tools".... As it is now you can apt-get the VBoxGtk front-end and that shows up in "System Tools"... why shouldn't the official vbox gui show up there by default as well? I would be appreciative if someone would just apply the patch and mark this fixed committed already. -- virtualbox does not appear on default start menu -> virtualbox-ose.desktop should include "System" in list of Categories https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/326431 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
