  Original description:
Npviewer segfaults when visiting a website on Firefox with flash content.
After that thunderbird, firefox stop responding and they have to be force
quitted. Their processes (thunderbird.bin and firefox) can't be killed with
kill -9 or killall. After a while these messages turn up on terminal:

  (taken from kern.log)
Sep 30 22:37:19 ubuntu kernel: [19808.392380] INFO: task
thunderbird-bin:28288 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
  Sep 30 22:37:19 ubuntu kernel: [19808.392418] "echo 0 >
/proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message.

I have to reboot using Sysreq + reisub.

This happens at least once a day on fully updated (as of 30.09.2008)
  Intrebid Ibex on x86_64.

  uname -a: Linux ubuntu 2.6.27-4-generic #1 SMP Wed Sep 24 01:29:06 UTC
