Public bug reported:
I have tried to install Google Earth 4.3 (medibuntu repo) and the new
version 5.x from google.com on Kubuntu 8.10 (kde 4.2). I have tried not
enabling desktop effects, still crashes I assume its an issue with
plasma. Furthermore, sudo apt-get remove googleearth does not work, nore
does the purge option. This was a clean install of 8.10 not an upgrade.
