renaming amdxmm.so to amdxmm.so.bck solved the problem. But, the "fix" may be related to the fact that I get a kernel crash when I restart X.
what's in this library anyway? Xvideo is kind of working in composite (crash under certain specific conditions, very stable with dragon, lots of offsets with vlc with my 790gx, none with my hd3450), so I guess amdxmm.so isn't needed for that. btw I only get this amdxmm.so bug with my thinkpad t400 (intel chipset, hd3450). Runs fine with 790gx -- amdxmm.so crashes duing xorg startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/285112 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
