Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcc-3.3
IBM JDK 1.x need libstdc++5 in order to get installed in the system. As the library is not available in the PowerPC architecture it is impossible to get this working propertly. This has been reported in launchpad as: 304863 Debian has a report too: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=348725 It is not fixed for lenny/sid, and thus seems to be failing for Ubuntu Hardy and Intrepid (I confirm that this is the case in intrepid). ** Affects: gcc-3.3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- libstdc++5 needed in PPC for IBM JDK 1.x to work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/326964 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
