It still seems broken with the ooo 3.0 packages. To reproduce, use the steps 1-5 from the original post, but instead of 3, set the following:
- Target cell: $C$1 - By changing cells: $A$1 - Limiting conditions: $B$1 <= 0 - Options / Solver Engine: OpenOffice.org Linear Solver When I press 'Solve', it immediately says "solution found", but without changing A1 (it stays at 10). Both B1 and C1 are defined as -A1, so optimum should be A=B=C=0. ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- Optimization solver in non-linear mode fails on simple linear models https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305956 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
