Public bug reported: Binary package hint: udev
Ubuntu 8.10 udev 124-9 SONY CD-RW CRX230EE Duplicate of bug #283316 I tried this: sudo udevadm monitor --udev 2>&1 | tee /tmp/udev.log inserted and ejected the cd, did the trick of hitting the cd burner's button also but /tmp/udev.log had nothing in it (don't know if should have done anything else because the Terminal didn't give any reaction). Then did: sudo /etc/init.d/hal stop and the CD-RW didn't mount (BUT the manual eject function worked properly - without 'auto-retract'), so sudo /etc/init.d/hal start and returned to the initial status. ** Affects: udev (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Cd tray closing 'unexpectedly' SONY CD-RW CRX230EE udev 124-9 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325381 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
