Originally I tried to do this via an NFS automount, so my path began
/net/...machine../share but now I get an error message back that it
couldn't display that directory, with the error "Nautilus cannot handle
this kind of locations."

I tried the Samba version of the autofs directories, which begin
/smb/... and get the same result.

I guess Nautilus tied up this particular loose end. It still would be
useful if Nautilus could display autofs mounts in a visually appealing
way, but this particular bug doesn't exist anymore to me.

I re-tested on the latest Hardy as of today.
