Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub
When updating the kernel I got a question from dpkg about a difference between my menu.lst and the package one. To me it wasn't clear what that package one was and I feard it would overwrite my local additions, so I choose to keep the local one. After that update-grub stopped to work. Apparently the generated menu.lst is seen as the package one. In my opinion this is not clear at all and can result easliy - as was the case with me - in taking the wrong decision. ** Affects: grub (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dpkg question about menu.lst is misleading https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/324946 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
