When I wrote "current" I meant the distribution where the work is happening, stable distributions by definition are stable (i.e: don't change a lot). You did notice wrong by opening that bug, and it has been fixed and the fix will be available with the next version of the product. That works like that for most of computer softwares, you report a problem, people working on the software fix it and the next version they make available has the fix.
