After updating the kernel to 2.6.27-11, the brightness controls on my
Lenovo Thinkpad X61s (running Ubuntu 8.10) no longer work.
I tried running the shell scripts:
sudo /etc/acpi/thinkpad-brightness-up.sh
sudo /etc/acpi/thinkpad-brightness-down.sh
and nothing happens. These worked fine until the recent set of updates.
