Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't start working on it yet, because your bug report didn't include enough information. You have not mentioned the Type of USB wireless network adapter you are having issues with : for example DWL-122 D-link..... This is the beginning of the information that is required to help resolve your issue. Not to mention the usual that should be included in every filed bug that deals with driver/kernel issues. Please attach the output of the following commands:
1. Please include the output of the command "uname -a" in your next response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture. 2. Please run the command "dmesg > dmesg.log" after a fresh boot and attach the resulting file "dmesg.log" to this bug report. 3. Please run the command "sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log" and attach the resulting file "lspci-vvnn.log" to this bug report. It would also be helpful to follow the guide and include the information requested at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingNetworkManager. If you have trouble, do not hesitate to ask for more assistance. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => linux Status: New => Incomplete -- Hot-pluging USB wireless network adapter is not supported https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/322704 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
