Moving these files into libpolkit would cause problems (file conflicts) whenever the libpolkit soname changes, so should be avoided if possible. The code James cites uses a function named 'polkit_debug' - perhaps if this is for debugging only, it should not log anything by default? Or perhaps we should not log debug-priority messages to /var/log/syslog by default.
