Hi! I've found this bug #275998 which seems to relate to your report . I know that your case looks different because in Hardy you couldn't use your microphone. Can you remember if you had turned on the Mic boost option when you were using Hardy?
In fact you wrote that you could hear your taps to the microphone when using hardy, but the volume was too weak. So I was wondering whether you had turned on the boost option, which usually makes the sound captured by a microphone more clear.
