Hey, I have a 1 tb Seagate FreeAgent external drive, and I'm getting the same problem. I know there's plenty of free space, the drive is basically new, and I've replicated it trying to copy various files. I'm running 8.10, latest updates and all.
I'm new here and don't know how to reopen the bug or anything, but I'd be happy to provide more information.
