Thanks Bryce, I've made a minor clarification to the description. -intel has always been fine (it used to fall back to software, but it has hardware acceleration since commit 128223ee9b7880e640056475462eca9a88415492) -nv doesn't accelerate the composite operation at all, so it's fine
I only checked the drivers that are dependencies of xserver-xorg-video- all (that's why I initially missed radeonhd).
