Perhaps ... The X is compiled specifically to the Mandriva environment ... You could try to run Mandriva as a live-cd to check out if it works better. You might use an usb-stick to avoid slow speed and noise. Unetbootin is easy: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick If mandriva works, as it did on my machines, it should be possible track down the differences, and what makes the problems. And fix it. In the Danish IT-Political Organisation, we have also problems with people that cannot run our security oriented version of kubuntu: Polippix. It would be important to find solutions. -- Flemming Bjerke Hyldebjerg 67 DK-4330 Hvalsø Ph. +45 4640 9102 Mob. +45 2212 0366 -- [i855GME] X crash because of intel driver on intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293543 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
